Beyond Limits Funding Support
At Beyond Limits Children’s Foundation, we understand that accessing assessments, therapy, and medical support for your child can be overwhelming — especially when cost, waitlists, or travel make things even harder.
Our support programs are designed to help reduce financial and geographic barriers so children can access the care they need sooner.
If you are seeking support for your child, this page explains how to apply, what information we require, and what happens next.
Who Can Apply?
Families may be eligible to apply for financial support if they:
have a child with developmental concerns, disability, feeding challenges, or additional needs
are experiencing financial hardship or significant out-of-pocket costs
are having difficulty accessing services due to location, transport, or travel costs
need assistance to access assessments, reports, therapy, or medical appointments
live in a community or region supported by our current programs/funding streams
Support is provided based on individual circumstances, program criteria, and available funding.
What Support May Be Available?
Depending on the program and available funds, support may include assistance with:
Allied health therapy (e.g., speech pathology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, psychology, dietetics/feeding therapy)
Developmental or diagnostic assessments
Medical or specialist appointments
Professional reports or evidence required for care planning
Outreach or access-related costs (where applicable)
Early intervention support while families are waiting for longer-term services or funding pathways
Please note: We may not be able to fund all requests, and support may be limited to specific services, providers, or program guidelines
How to Apply
Complete an Application Form
Families or carers can submit an application form with basic information about:
the child and family
the main concerns and support needs
the services requested
barriers to accessing care (financial and/or geographic)
any current supports, waitlists, or referrals
If you need help completing the form, please contact us — we want the process to be as accessible as possible.
Provide Supporting Information
To help us understand your child’s needs, we may ask for supporting documents such as:
referral letters (GP, paediatrician, therapist, school/preschool)
therapy reports or assessment reports
quotes or invoices for requested services
appointment letters or waitlist confirmations
information about financial hardship (where relevant to the program)
You do not always need every document before making contact — if you are unsure, we can guide you.
Application Review
Our team will review your application against:
child and family need
urgency and impact of support requested
eligibility criteria for the relevant program
available funding and service capacity
We may contact you for more information if needed.
Outcome and Next Steps
Once your application has been reviewed, we will let you know the outcome and explain next steps.
If approved, we will provide details about:
what support has been approved
how funding will be used
any limits or conditions
how services will be arranged or reimbursed (depending on the program)
If we are unable to provide support, we will try to offer information about other pathways or services where possible.
What We Prioritise
Because funding is limited, we prioritise applications where support is likely to:
improve access to timely assessment or early intervention
reduce delays in care during critical developmental periods
help families overcome significant financial barriers
support children in rural, regional, or remote areas
assist with evidence or reports needed to access ongoing services (including school or disability supports)
Before You Apply
It may help to gather the following:
a short summary of your child’s current needs
names of any current providers (if applicable)
quotes/costs for the support requested
copies of any recent reports or referrals
information about waitlists or upcoming appointments
If you don’t have all of this yet, you can still reach out
